Help publish Erinyes, the novel that pokes back at our modern world.
What is this about?
When a sheltered teenager starts noticing a hazy face following her in her photographs, she begins to investigate an urban legend. But will she uncover the truth when she gets in trouble with a technology corporation, when an enigmatic hacker starts telling her conspiracy theories and when the hazy face becomes all too real and starts chasing her non-stop?
This is a novel about the modern world, but like all sci-fi novels it is not exactly of this world. Set roughly around 2018 in Athens, it shows an unexpected turn of the Greek crisis and the effects it has on the people. And since the young people are really all that matters regarding the future, the focus is on them.
That selfie might come back to haunt you.
The story is about technology and myth and how that changes our lives. If you think of our modern technology being so intrusive that literally changes our personalities and our lives, doesn’t that make it as powerful as a myth?
What are Erinyes?
You might know them better as Furies, but that is their Latin name. They are the female chthonic deities of vengeance. Wikipedia.
In the novel, young Mahi gets tormented by Erinyes for her sins. What are her sins exactly? Wait for the novel and find out.
Will there be a paper book version?
That is not scheduled at the moment. This is after all a novel that bathes happily in its technological microcosm. We are more interested in publishing the ebook first in its complete form. Of course when that is done we will explore various publishing methods and might manage to get the paper book to you. As a backer, you will be notified as soon as that happens and will also benefit from an exclusive discount.
